Jennifer Blanchette
Office Manager

Jennifer BlanchetteI was born in Pago-Pago, American Samoa in 1970.  I was adopted at birth by an American family from Missouri.  I lived in American Samoa for 2 years before my family returned to the US.  After living in the St. Louis area for about 6 years, we moved to Port Charlotte, FL in the fall of 1979.  I stayed in Port Charlotte through my sophomore year of college, and then transferred to the University of South Florida in Tampa for my junior/senior year.  I returned back to Port Charlotte, and finished my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education at a satellite school in the summer of ‘93.  I met my wonderful husband, Marcel, that year and have been blessed-ly married for 16 years.  I have 3 amazing children: Jessica 15, Mikayla 13, and Matthew 6.  I am a certified teacher in the areas of K-12 Exceptional Student Education, Grades 5-9 Math, and Grades 6-12 Math and I’ve spent 15 years teaching high school and tutoring.  Working with teenagers is a passion of mine and my husbands’.

My husband and I have always served ‘full-time’ in ministry in our local church, but we always had full-time jobs, as well.  The Lord called my husband to ministry full-time as a ‘career’ and we left our home in Florida in the summer of 2009.  God has brought us to Fort Dodge where we are learning so much and have been challenged in our walk with the Lord like never before.   It is such an amazing privilege to be involved in such a powerful tool of ministry like Kinship Christian Radio.  I truly believe that God has given me a double-blessing by all the learning and training my husband and I are receiving from my pastor and other staff members at my church, and also through my job here at KJYL

I have been through so many things in my life that most people find it very hard to believe when I share my testimony, but I know it was the hand of the Lord in all of it- from my adoption half-a-world away to the current place I am in my life.  I am so privileged that God allows to me to even be a part of His work here and I am always thrilled when the Lord uses me, in whatever capacity He sees fit to minister to others.  One of my life verses found in 2 Corinthians describes what my personal purpose is for the Lord and what gives my husband and me our drive and passion for what we know God has called us to do.

2 Corinthians 1: 3,4  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
