Community Calendar Vacation Bible School

FORT DODGE - Rolling Hills Community Church, 2891 N 15th St. in Ft Dodge, will be hosting "Journey Off The Map" VBS, August 3rd through the 7th, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. Family Fun Fest

ALGONA - The First Presbyterian Church of Algona is having their Family Fun Fest on Sunday, August 9th at the Water's Edge Nature Center which is located on the northwest side of Smith Lake north of Algona on Hwy 169. Family Fun Fest

ALGONA - First Presbyterian Church, in Algona, is having their Family Fun Fest on Sunday, August 9 at the Water's Edge Nature Center, that is located on the northwest side of Smith Lake, north of Algona on Highway 169. Family Fun Fest starts at 10:15AM with a Worship Service, pot luck dinner and Praise Fest at 1:30PM.

Joy of Reading Community Book Drive
FORT DODGE - A book drive for the upcoming Joy of Reading Bookmobile and Fort Dodge Little Free Libraries is being held at the Fort Dodge Community Foundation and United Way, which is inside the Greater Fort Dodge Growth Alliance Building, at 24 N 9th Street in Fort Dodge. Books may be left inside the entryway of the building, or may be taken to the office, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. This special book drive ends August 15, however, donations of books are welcome any time.

Annual Prairie Homestead Antique Power & Country Craft Show

CLARION:  A Caregivers' Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30 PM at the Clarion Wellness and Rehab Center.  

CLARION:  Toastmasters meetings can help you develop strong communication skills. Wright On Toastmasters meets every Friday from 7 to 8AM at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion at the boardroom across from Widflower Cafe. Visit them to see what Toastmasters can do for you.  

EAGLE GROVE: First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove has a full calendar of events scheduled for every Sunday night of the month.  The 1st Sunday is "Old Fashioned Prayer Time."  The 2nd Sunday is "Bible Topic Talks" with open discussions.  The 3rd Sunday is "Movie Night."  The 4th Sunday is "Sing Time." EAGLE GROVE:  The 2014 to 2015 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program has been established to help homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs. FORT DODGE:  St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge has a women's Bible study on Mondays at 1:30PM in the church library.  The men's Bible study meets on Mondays at 6:30PM in the church board room.  Another Men's Bible class meets on Tuesdays at 6:30AM in Conference Room number 1. 

GOLDFIELD:  Crossroads Youth and Family Center in Goldfield is open for activities and for kids to hang out on Friday and Saturday nights.  Kids 8th grade and younger are welcome from 7 to 9PM.  Youth in 9th grade through college age are welcome from 7PM to midnight.
