Community Calendar 2016 HOPE Adoption Conference

Getting your garden ready for winter will be the topic of a program to be held Monday, October 24th, at the Wright County ISU Extension Office in Clarion, beginning at 6:30 pm. Learn how to properly prepare your landscaping and garden beds for the winter. This event is a free program and is open to the public.

Joy Grandgeorge Family Benefit

Steak Dinner Benefit and Silent Auction

  Michael English, The Nelons, & Jeff Stice will be performing at Faith Community Church of Palmer on Friday, November 4th @ 7PM! Michael English sang lead for the Gaither Vocal Band; The Nelons were just inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame; and Jeff Stice won Musician of the Year at the 2015 AGM Awards.  This a rare opportunity to witness them all together on one stage!

Families identified by the elementary school staff are supplied with a backpack of food each weekend to help supplement the nutrition needs in their home. CLARION:  Toastmasters meetings can help you develop strong communication skills. Wright On Toastmasters meets every Friday from 7 to 8AM at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion at the boardroom across from Widflower Cafe. Visit them to see what Toastmasters can do for you.   
EAGLE GROVE: First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove has a full calendar of events scheduled for every Sunday night of the month.  The 1st Sunday is "Old Fashioned Prayer Time."  The 2nd Sunday is "Bible Topic Talks" with open discussions.  The 3rd Sunday is "Movie Night."  The 4th Sunday is "Sing Time." FORT DODGE - ICKY's is a youth center for 5-12th grade students, which they can come hang out, meet new friends, play games, eat food, or study in a quiet room. It is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights every week. Several area churches have gone together to get this youth center started. FORT DODGE:  Those with a heart for prison ministry are encouraged to contact the Church of the Damascus Road for information about ministering to the imprisoned or becoming apart of the Outside Church Council.  The council meets every third Wednesday of the month.  Call 515-955-3579 for details. 
FORT DODGE:  St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge has a women's Bible study on Mondays at 1:30PM in the church library.  The men's Bible study meets on Mondays at 6:30PM in the church board room.  Another Men's Bible class meets on Tuesdays at 6:30AM in Conference Room number 1. 
GOLDFIELD:  Crossroads Youth and Family Center in Goldfield is open for activities and for kids to hang out on Friday and Saturday nights.  Kids 8th grade and younger are welcome from 7 to 9PM.  Youth in 9th grade through college age are welcome from 7PM to Midnight.
