HEARTLAND MUSEUM ROOM-FREE RENT

The Leonard J. Maasdam trust of Pella is sponsoring free rentals of the Heartland Museum's Community Room in Clarion for a limited time.  This offer is valid only for  Christian churches and organizations that have prayer as a regular part of their meetings and worship times.  Any church or organization interested in reserving a date for use of the Community Room can call the museum at 515-602-6000. The Community Room has a small kitchen, tables, chairs, bathrooms, a stage and can hold up to 150 people.

**The organization must provide a refundable cleaning deposit by check that will be returned, if the meeting room is left clean and undamaged.**

ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The 2011-2012 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been established to help qualifying low-income Iowa homeowners and renters to pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Applications will be taken October 1 through April 30, 2012 for elderly (60 and over) and/or diabled households. All other households can apply November 1 to April 30, 2012.
