Soup Supper

KANAWHA - A "Soup Supper" prepared by the Kanawha Christian School and hosted at the Kanawha Fire Station will be held on Saturday, January 21st from 5 - 7 PM. There will be soup, sandwiches, and homemade pies! A freewill offering will be collected.

AGLOW International - Fort Dodge

FORT DODGE - Aglow International of Fort Dodge will meet on Saturday, January 21st at the Fort Dodge Public Library at 10:00 AM. CLARION/DOWS - The Wright County Adult Health Clinics for January, will be Wednesday, January 11th from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM at The Meadows in Clarion for the Blood Pressure and Foot Clinic. Annual Banquet

Iowa Prayer For Life 2017
STATE CAPITOL - February 7 will be another first – Iowa Prayer For Life 2017, put on by all the groups in the new Iowa Pro Life Fellowship! This all day event will be held at the Iowa State Capitol starting at 8:30 am through 4:00 pm. We Believe

3rd Annual Banquet and Dessert Auction

NEWELL - The 3rd Annual Beauty Amidst The Ashes Banquet Dinner and Dessert Auction will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church in Newell from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. GriefShare classes

ELLSWORTH - Trinity Lutheran Church of Ellsworth will be hosting 13 weekly GriefShare classes on Sunday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. beginning February 5th at the church. TWIN LAKES - Bring Grandpa and Grandma to Camp, July 5-7. Grandparents have a special influence on their grandkids – and we are excited for this NEW Camp option! ALGONA, STORM LAKE, & OTHER CITIES:  Cornerstone for Life is a pregnancy resource ministry in Storm Lake, Algona, and other cities.  They need volunteers, including publicists, counselors, receptionists, prayer partners, and even pregnant women who would like a free ultrasound to provide practice for volunteers. CLARION - The Clarion Churches, Rotary Club & CGD Elemetary School have partnered together to help fight hunger in the community. Families identified by the elementary school staff are supplied with a backpack of food each weekend to help supplement the nutrition needs in their home. CLARION:  A Caregivers' Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 to 7:30PM at the Clarion Wellness and Rehab Center.  
CLARION:  Toastmasters meetings can help you develop strong communication skills. Wright On Toastmasters meets every Friday from 7 to 8AM at Iowa Specialty Hospital in Clarion at the boardroom across from Widflower Cafe. Visit them to see what Toastmasters can do for you.   
EAGLE GROVE: First Baptist Church of Eagle Grove has a full calendar of events scheduled for every Sunday night of the month.  The 1st Sunday is "Old Fashioned Prayer Time."  The 2nd Sunday is "Bible Topic Talks" with open discussions.  The 3rd Sunday is "Movie Night."  The 4th Sunday is "Sing Time." FORT DODGE - ICKY's is a youth center for 5-12th grade students, which they can come hang out, meet new friends, play games, eat food, or study in a quiet room. It is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights every week. Several area churches have gone together to get this youth center started. It is a great resource to not only give kids a place to hang out, but, also brings churches together in the mission of reaching our youth. Caleb Carlson of Humboldt is the director.

FORT DODGE:  Fort Dodge Community Choir hosts praise and worship services at Coppin Chapel every other Sunday.

FORT DODGE:  Blanden Memorial Art Museum in Fort Dodge hosts a FREE family art day on the first Saturday of every month from 10:30AM to 12:30PM.  Families will be provided with art materials and instructions to create a project to take home that day.  For more information, call 515-573-2316.
FORT DODGE:  Those with a heart for prison ministry are encouraged to contact the Church of the Damascus Road for information about ministering to the imprisoned or becoming apart of the Outside Church Council.  The council meets every third Wednesday of the month.  Call 515-955-3579 for details. 
FORT DODGE:  St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge has a women's Bible study on Mondays at 1:30PM in the church library.  The men's Bible study meets on Mondays at 6:30PM in the church board room.  Another Men's Bible class meets on Tuesdays at 6:30AM in Conference Room number 1. 
GOLDFIELD:  Crossroads Youth and Family Center in Goldfield is open for activities and for kids to hang out on Friday and Saturday nights.  Kids 8th grade and younger are welcome from 7 to 9PM.  Youth in 9th grade through college age are welcome from 7PM to Midnight.

The 2016-2017 Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been established to help qualifying homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season.
